Edge welcomes School Engagement Specialist

Destiny Byrd is extremely thrilled to be joining the Prairie Team as the School Engagement Specialist at Edge. She will be starting her 4th year in education this fall. She has mostly recently served the Cedar Rapids Community School District as a behavior technician/autism focus paraprofessional. She is most excited to be part of a school team focused on supporting student success inside and outside of the classroom!

She enjoys binge watching the Harry Potter series with her son, traveling, and exploring new things together. Destiny is working on her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis as well as a certificate in ASD.  She loves eating junk food, hiking, listening to 2000 R&B hits, and spending time with family and friends.

Destiny is looking forward to collaborating with students, families and colleagues to ensure that every student’s educational experience is uniquely tailored to their specific needs to ensure success in life.
